July 7, 1945 Trinidad Dear Dad & Mom: Just had a nap, I'm getting lazy all right came from dinner and laid down & went sound asleep. Dont get too much sleep tho the way our shift is. Think I'd rather work this four to midnight hitch than any and hope I stay on it. We got another unit citation which we've been sweating out a long time. Can now wear a cluster on the little ribbon I got way last summer. Doesnt give any points and doesnt mean a lot but shows our group did a good job. Must go over to the squadron supply and see about having some khaki pants altered have some I've never worn and they are too long. There was a notice on the bulletin board to report such things, hope they have a free tailoring service for a change. We havent been issued our sheets and pillow cases yet, maybe it was just a rumor. I've gone so long without anything like that I dont mind tho down here in this heat the wool seems to be scratchier than usual. Think we will have another party the
