Saving...
heard for a long time. We are all having to fill out a slip to hand into the orderly room telling when we had our last furlough, months overseas etc. dont know as it means anything or not but could possibly mean will get furloughs. Boy -- Doesnt seem too impossible they could give us furloughs from this place. Some fellows are closer here than they were in spots right in the U.S. Should was a few shorts this afternoon changing every day I dont have enough to run until the laundry comes back. Doesnt take long to [illegible] the shorts hate to wash sox but I have plenty of them to run thru. Guess will get paid about the first of August. I'll make it okay until pay day, havent been squandering any money tho, stamps & laundry are about the extent of my expenditures. Will quit for today -- Love Johnny
