Dear Dad & Mom: Today we finish up July and start August, the months roll by even if the days seem to drag and perhaps each one accomplishes a little even though at times it doesn't seem like it get paid at two this afternoon. This morning I got two letters from you and last night one, something caused them to bunch up along the way. Was very glad to get them anyhow. Glad old Berg is doing so well up in the Decorals place, sure hope he keeps it up and Dad has it off his hands. It's time to got to (moon?) chance but it's raining so hard I'll wait a little and see if it wants clear. Have been to dinner but it was punk macaronni and cheese, of which I'm not fond. It stops raining as quick as it starts, just like turning a lawn sprinkler on and off. There was another show on the base last night, calypso singers. I was working so couldn't go but one of the fellows did and said they had fine talent. Noticed they haven't caught the monkey yet or at least he isnt in the cage. Expect he headed for the jungle and wont be seen again for awhile. The natives catch them by drugging
