Charles Henrichs September 10, 1945 Trinidad Dear Dad and Mom: This is a red letter day as it marks the end of the green project. The last shifts go out tomorrow and then and then there is a little work finishing up all inspections etc. Our lieutenant told us this morning we'd be out of here by the twentieth. According to some we will leave by point priority so I wont be too far down the line if that method is followed. All signs point toward a plane ride home so it surely wont take long when the time comes. The screening and processing and other rid taps may take awhile but one fellow I know was out of the army further eight hours after he left here. At any rate things look pretty bright right now if nothing happens.
