Saving...
Roberto Gonzalez September 10th, 1945 John Graham to Mr. & Mrs. William J Graham quitting time. Will have work tomorrow and the next day after that will be the last of it and may I never have to touch another airplane engine. Glad the package reached your folks okay wish I could find something..for your Dad, the P.X., seems to just stock gifts for women and there aren't many good stores in town. The sox were all the same price now but its nice the last ones are better, maybe they won't stand washing. Hope those town indians are good weather forecasters at least about there being a late fall. Ill bet your recent bad weather has pushed the corn and dried it and I'm afraid I won't make it home in time to fill silo even tho it is late fall. Do hope I make it while the timber is gritty for I've missed that these past three years. They are giving us all a party tomorrow night expect it will be just beer and cokes or maybe something to eat. Dont reckon it will amount to much but I may fooled, I hope. One of the fellows in our barracks runs the truck for the Red Cross coffee and doughnuts gifts. Tonight he parked his truck outside and we went and helped ourselves to the doughnuts so this litter may be smudged with greasy finger marks. The quality isnt so bad but theyre sure filling.
