Saving...
September 11, 1945 Trinidad Dear Dad & Mom: Worked quite hard today, at least we kept busy which is unusual of late. Our engine surplus is practically nil so each crew is building up one more. Hope its our last and from reports it should be. Of course until I get that discharge in my hands anything can happen. Tomorrow all men who dont have enough points for discharge have to have to move out of our squadron and it becomes a casual outfit. Only men in it are awaiting discharge. Sure glad I'm staying in it. They still maintain we are to be away from here in from five to seven days, have opened up some new separation centers in the states which can take care of a lot more men, takes a long time to be screened & processed on the way out too.
