Saving...
I had a busy forenoon. The telephone bell rang three or four times. A man came to borrow. The bees swarmed and our neighbor Johnson and his father came over and hived them. We had to clean up one so it took quite a spell to get it ready but fortunately they settled low down on a bush. So there was little trouble to get them in. It is a big fine swarm. And Johnson wanted to give me $2,00 for it, but I knew father would not want to sell it. He has been away all day at the Brocks farm, putting in some sweet corn. Had a card from Ernest, written at Davenport, in which he stated he was going to Iowa City to see you. We havent had any word from Julietta since you were here but expect one when we get the mail. Havent had any today, as father went away early. We are doing just the same things we have been doing all along. And are well we hope to have a letter from you before you leave. And oh' take good care of yourself', Be good, and you will be happy." Remember me to Mr Sanborn With more love than I can tell you Mother.
