well I'm blotting my letter. I never saw a fountain pen that didn't leak. We have been having very warm dry weather and so oppressive part of the time. No rain to speak of and we do need it so much. Father and uncle Wm are painting the house, white and it looks fine, like another house. He sold the calf today for $20.00. He would have kept her if he had had any place for her. She certainly is fine. He still has all the horses and Malen is certainly having the time of his dear young
