Friday evening, October 6, 1916 Dear Father and Mother:- First let me tell you that we two old bachelors were mighty glad to get the aprons and your gifts of towels and wash-rags and napkins. We are putting them to good use. Our housekeeping continues successfully although the novelty has begun to wane. It takes more time than we like to give from our recreation period, but we are willing to undergo some of the disagreeable features for the sake of escape from a boarding house.
