Saving...
rubs it. The one on my hand is practically healed up and never has been sore. Got a new pair of pants from salvage yesterday so I'll have to hunt up the tailor and get them altered. We have one at our service club some days and he's really kept busy. Not everyone has so much trouble as I do but there are lots of guys where G.I. clothes dont fit. Just came from noon chow, pretty good today. Lately we've been getting lots of C-rations and dehydrated stuff but last night had some fresh carrots which surely tasted good. I think they must come from Sicily or way down at the southern tip of Italy, they didnt look like our carrots back home for they were so light colored. Our dog Shotgun is very busy digging out lizards which are beginning to come out now. He a good mouser and I guess keeps practised up on lizards. Im glad we dont have them around home but they are harmless little fellows and do eat lots of bugs etc. Dont seem to have anything more -- Love Johnny
