Saving...
March 30, 1945 Italy Dear Dad & Mom: The boys are out trying to trace down a short in our electric line so I sneaked over to tech. supply where they have lights. Was going to write last night but they were off and I dont like to write by candle light seems to flicker and jump so. Wasnt busy this afternoon so played ball, eleven innings, and I really feel it tonight. Had a hot shower afterward which was quite a luxury, so often it is cold or there is no water. Our bunch won but it was a toss up as to which side made the most errors. It's been another grand day shed all my heavy clothes but got out my wool sweat shirt again when the sun began to go down. Sure hope it's as nice back home. I've been pretty busy the past few days but I'm glad for that. Right now I'm all caught up but dont reckon I'll stay that way long. They have had a couple of bingo parties at our service club lately but I havent gone for I dont much care for that game and there is always such a mob at anything like that.
