April 26, 1945 Italy Dear Dad & Mom: Wasnt too busy today, found time for a haircut and treated myself to a barber shave and professional moustache trim. Will soon be pay day and it's a good idea to be trimmed up a little for that. Got an airmail from you tonight which was mailed the twentieth so that certainly made good time. Didnt seem to me as tho Jimmie Razek was old enough to be getting married either, he looks a lot like his father now I think. Yes I went thru Hadrians tomb, it has a lot of old relics in it which were used for ancient war fare, capapults, huge cross-bows which shot spears etc. Also had some of the earliest cannon ever used which shot stone cannon balls. There were supposedly some of them there and carved perfectly round. It has moats,
