Our pay yesterday was in Trinidad money, looks good, would have gotten one hundred thirty one American for the two months but on the change got one fifty five.. If you buy stamps or money orders it discounts back to American standard of course. The post office was crowded this morning with fellows getting money orders to send home, don't think I'll send any just now, perhaps later on. Have another meeting this afternoon. An orientation lecture so the bulletin board says. Don't know to what we're to orient ourselves to but I'll go find out. Had a good meal this morn ham & well prepared. Found some snap shots in my writing kit I'll stick in, one showsVisuvius in the distance, another an arcade in Naples & the other is taken by our old truck supply building in Italy where I lived the last couple of weeks before I left.
