Saving...
August 19,1945 Trinidad Dear Dad + Mom: Another day gone by, at least I worked a little more than yesterday so the time passed quicker. It is a little warmer working daytime but I don't find it too bad. I sure sweat but the heat doesn't bother me much. Due to the change over in shifts and a new pass schedule Im due for a pass tomorrow, tho I had one last Tuesday. Sure has been an easy week for me. I'll take it tho and be glad of it. Feel different now about taking time off than I did when war was going on and Im going to take all I can get. Don't know whats the matter with the mail, none again today for some reason. Makes a dull day when Im not lucky. I am enclosing a sheet pass and here on the base it's a lot of .... but I reckon what they think the civilians back home want to hear. Cant find anything to write tonight so will sign off- Love, Johnny
