Saving...
August 26, 1945 Trinidad Dear Dad + Mom: This has been a lazy day, didnt go to town just loafed + read. Got up about nine and cleaned up then read till dinner time after chow I took a nap then read some more and now I'll try + write a bit. Might go to a movie tonight if there is anything good on, probably isnt however. Got the Union and a letter from you + one from an old friend in my old outfit. One of the other guys here heard from a fellow in the bunch that Bill is with and said they would soon be discharged. Been real pleasant here today cool in the barracks and a couple of showers to keep it cooled down. Right know the sun is bright as can be but clouds are gathering out over the jungle so it may rain again soon. There have been quite a number of replacements coming down here but as yet theres been no action taken. Perhaps those having the most points will go first and I'll have to wait my turn anyhow. Would be nice to know definitely.
