There are a bunch of gook (native) carpenters working around the barracks this afternoon. They are jabbering like a bunch of monkeys dont seem to have any boss. Kind of like the Fox brothers The doors go to pieces in a hurry down here, rot out of every joint, dont think they are specially treated like some dad used to get at the yard. Glad old Mixer won the man band, can imagine his big grin + giggle. It's nice he got it rather than someone who didnt need it so much. You folks are really taking the fair in, would like to see the rodeo myself. There are a lot of those big humped brahma cattle down here and some of those regular buffalos see pictures of. They are doing some blasting near camp sounds like a regular bombing raid. Dont know what theyre building drainage ditches or a new
