Dear Dad + Mom: 
     Another quick day, couldn't sleep late this morning as I planned so got up and read. Had the whole day off and don't go to work till in the morning. We got the engines done last night that they were in a hurry for, really more pleasant to work that night shift. 
     Sent you some more sox and dad a billfold this afternoon so the package should get there pretty soon. Went to the P.X. + had some ice cream and looked around for some things to send the neighbors but they don't seem to have anything like that. 
     Got the Union + a letter from you today and a couple from old army buddies. Sure glad they had a nice horse show and hope it continues in...
