Saving...
August 29, 1945 Trinidad Dear Dad & Mom: There's a beautiful sunset tonight sky is rosy all around the horizon with banks of gray & blue clouds. Quite unusual only a quarter past six but its almost dark. This month is just about gone hope that corn makes the grade. A few days like we have here would push it along. If this can just be one of our long seasons everything will be fine. Get in a bunch more replacements today dont know if any were for our department or not but sure hope so. Our barracks was almost empty a week ago but now it's nearly full. The discharge deal has kind of slowed up darn it but everyone with over eighty five points should be out of here in the month of September. If a fellow just knew how long it would be it wouldnt be so bad.
