Saving...
May 15, 1945 Italy Dear Dad & Mom: Gosh this month is half gone already dont know where its gone but the calendar doesnt lie. Keep the days checked off every day on the little one George Woodard sent me. I'm tired tonight dont know whether it's the hot weather or due to the fact I've worked hard today. I'm doing the same work I did after I got back from my last furlough. Boy I'd like to be getting one soon and am really hoping for it. My nose is sunburned & peeling just as it did last summer dont know why it should the rest of me is so brown. Must be that the air is so dry and hot. I've had four nice letters from you the last two days, two V-mail & two air mail ones. They were real newsy and I was very glad to get them. Hope the Lynches iron out their troubles. Dont think the army has changed me much altho I know it will be hard to get on the job when I get out. I moved yesterday, Bill & I are living in the supply building, it's much cooler than our tent was. Had to cut our bed in two before it would go in the door.
