Saving...
May 21, 1945 Italy Dear Dad & Mom: Im writing this by candlelight and it doesnt go so well. There's a bit of a breeze blowing and the light dances & flickers. Should have written earlier but waited for the shower to get filled up and then for the crowd to get thru. It's warm this evening, I'm sitting in my shorts writing this, barefooted & wiggling my toes. Have a few dirty clothes I was going to wash but that job wont get done tonight. Got an air mail from you and one from Donald Denniston Sr. tonight. Enjoyed both, the mail has been a little irregular and will probably be more so in both directions before long so dont wonder about it. Played ball this afternoon a regular thriller our side lost by about ten runs, big scores on both sides. Good exercise anyhow and fun so thats the big thing. The light is too bad I'm going to quit for tonight. I'll try and write again tomorrow & more.
