Saving...
Steam raises off the jungle whenever the sun breaks out and the clouds hang low & heavy all the time ready to gather and dump out rain. It rains around sixty inches here between June and January so I've really hit the moist season. They have good P.X's here tho they are very crowded. Abundance of Coca Cola and beer and candy as well as cigarettes. Money is an odd mixture of American and British. One never knows just what he will get back from a paper bill, shillings threepence, sixpence, pennies or what have you. Have Porto Rican barbers which are very good, quick and clean & neat as pins. Cant help but notice the difference in cleanliness between these people & the Italians near our old camp. Got two more letters from you today written the seventh & ninth, they were some that had come earlier as we had no mail service today. Sounds as tho the steers sold fairly well, glad to hear it. Yes it's okay with me to put some money in bonds whatever Dad & Dave think. I'll need it for lots of things when I get out of this army, sure wish that day was soon. Dont doubt that old Charly Pitts is hale & hearty he's that type. I was amused and what you said about Frankie setting back and letting Brad do the work
