Saving...
June 23, 1945 Trinidad Dear Dad & Mom: It's almost three oclock and hasnt rained yet today, think our drougth will break soon for its all clouded over and has that cool feeling that comes just before a storm. Still loafing not doing a thing but waiting. Went for a walk this morning, three or four miles I guess, to get the kinks out of me. Have read several books the past few days, nothing very good, just the kind of junk they ship overseas and distribute thru special service. I'm reading "Leave Her to Heaven" right now and find it rather good. Our food hasnt been anything to brag about here, too darn much stew and sheep meat at that. So far I've had some K rations to fill in those meals so havent minded it so much
