Saving...
June 24, 1945 Trinidad Dear Dad & Mom: Another lazy day, loafing & reading. How I'd like to be spending this wasted time at home on a furlough instead of just sweating it out here. I'm afraid by the time I am assigned to a squadron the good jobs will be all taken & I'll get stuck on some fool thing I dont like. I find out that the fellows who have been stationed here for a long period of time have had thirty day furloughs plus five days travelling time & they were flown both ways. But we arent to have any until this job is done so thats no good to me. Some of our fellows have found good jobs here & others havent fared so well. That's to be expected tho whenever reassignments are made
