7 P.M. The maile has come in and there is no letter for me now I will set down and finish this letter. I am sorry that I did not get a letter from home and I guest that I shall have to give you a talking to. A letter here is worth a fortune. Byron got 2 letters and Lewis 1 Ike 1 and poor I none there. Layfette has just come in and wants to know if I heard from home but I toll him of corse no. He thought it was hard and so did I but I am in hopes that you will reforme you will see by my writeing that I have been taken writing lessons. The last lesson is henstracks and I get along slow you will find out without telling but I mus proceed
