July the 18 1862 Mount Plesent Hospital Dear father I received your letter of the 12, last night and Aunts of the 14, yours found me gaining slowley my eyes have got so I can see pretty well but my hand paines me a great deal but it is getting along as well as can be expected. It's raining here to day. It has been very warm for a few days pass but is quite cool now I wrote a letter to Lon yest day and one to you day before yest day Alonzo is in Alabama yet their Reg is guarding the R Railroad between Huntsville and Steavensons There is 9 companys of them stationed
