I wished I could have come home a little while and you and the rest but you know the orders the president has sine I think that was a nice thing It has been the means of adding 50,000 men to our Army now these gingerbread fellows that are around the Northern town with sholder straps on can not promonade around with out they have a just cause to. The papers stated yest day that they arrested about 300 in New York city and all that did not have papers to show what they were there for no matter if they did have tape on their shoulders they were all sent to Governers Island. I have not heard from Alonzo yet the lates I heard from him
