At night we have lots of music here this week has been our first winter here we have had a little snow and a good deal of rain Byron has gone over to the 24 Reg. They are on Upton Hill he has gone over to see Barry. We havent drilled for a fortnight, most, for it has been so wet and slipry so we dont have nothing to do but read and write and take care of the horses but I am getting out of sorts and must close for this time I shant write again till we get our pay so good by from your son Charles To father & mother
