were going to let me send you some things. I shall be so glad! Conger dear, you'll surely take good care of yourself. The change in climates, and so much real "army life" may be rather hard on you and I can't help worrying a little. Mama wrote to you the other day but she has not sent the letter yet. I don't know why she is waiting - she hasn't said, but I suppose she'll ship it soon. I'm afraid you'll not find much in this letter, dear. I am having trouble, as usual, because of too many people talking at once, but at least I can say I love you, and want you more every day. - Just here a girl came limping in with a gory leg. She had fallen down stairs and skinned herself horribly, and wanted me to fix her
