Twenty-five. National War Work Council Young Men's Christian Associations of the United States "With the Colors" March 3, 1918. Belovedest, - I stayed up until 12:30 last night writing to you. Then things happened this morning that made a lot of my tale wrong. So I pause a moment after lunch to rewrite it. Yesterday was a great day again. Three of your letters greeted me with a radiant smile when I hove to in the chief clerk's office. There was no other mail, but that made no difference. The letter with Heisteren's trademark on the behind was one of the three. Another was postmarked Jan. 23. Couldn't make out the date on the other but it was presumably of about the same time. None had been opened by the censor. I believe letters coming this way are not likely to be censored.
