I shall not undertake to comment today on the individual features of the letters. I reserve that pleasure for subsequent times when I have no new letters to write about. But I do want to say in general that I could smother you in kisses for the delight the hearing from you has given me. I am happy over them because they make you real to me again. The long monologue I had been carrying on, the dreaming of you, and the thinking of you more or less abstractly were in a fair way toward making me regard you as a sort of guardian angel - an ethereal personage altogether out of reach.
