relished having your reality impressed upon me again. This morning I entered upon a series of studies at G.H.Q. that will take several days. After it is over I may get some indication of what my assignment is to be. Everything is lovely. I had a jolly afternoon in ma chambre yesterday. Toward the end of it Zim walked in on me, having just returned from a ten-day visit at the French front. I was really glad to see him after our three weeks' separation. He took a seat before the fire and related to me with his characteristic, methodical exactness the story of his adventures. It ran 55 minutes by the clock.
