Saving...
I am going to take a flying leap into bed now. On of my eyes is almost shut and the other is at half mast. My lamp is sputtering horribly, and of course the good old Sisters have had the lights out for hours. I humbly petition the Powers that be to see that this letter reaches you some time. With the variety of addresses you have given me, I cannot be sure that you'll really get any of them, but on the other hand, I can't see why all of them won't follow you up, in time. It will be nice when you are finally established someplace and will have a real, sure enough address, or will that never happen? Be a nice, polite child. Think all the time of how we love our "Uncle Sam" and after that, of how we love each other. I kiss you goodnight, dear. With all of my love - Daphne. March 3rd, 1918.
