think tears are such silly things when they are expressions of grief, and I'm always ashamed of them. One time that I have the weeps I cannot account for, and that is when I'm listening to certain kinds of music. It's not the feeling you have when you are miles away from us - where with us "kindred spirit" and some loon sings "Home, sweet Home". That's not a legitimate weep, either. The one I can't understand comes right after I am all covered with shivers, and the shivers come all by themselves, unheralded, when music makes a very strong appeal. About writing Mrs. S-.
