Thirty March 10, 1918 My Beautiful, - Lieutenant Frank and I found violets today in the garden behind his billet; so it must be springtime. We were out walking most of the afternoon taking in the beauties of the Valley of the ___. The road was fairly alive with soldiers and villagers out for the same purpose. From a letter from Juliet that came today I learn that she received my pictures as a valentine. That was a brilliant idea of yours. The girl is clever, as always. Juliet vows she is very eager for summer to come and bring you to see her. I shall be very glad to know Captain Milam and shall keep on the lookout for him. If he is a friend of yours and Trix Croft's he needs no better commendation. You are quite agreement with me in your opinion of "The Yellow Jacket." Please don't
