read it until you are tired of it, though - if that could be possible because I want to read it with you sometime. I shall be terribly behind on reading after my service over here. All the reading I do is professional. We Americains are duty bound to cover by intensive study now the ground that our Boche opponents gained in long and careful preparation. There is no end to the reading and research we must do. I occasionally have a distinct desire to break away from it and dip into an interesting magazine or novel. Being without either, it is not difficult to resist the temptation. One thing I do wish I had - a copy of your nonsense book. Do you want to send me one? It will be great stuff to cheer me up if things are ever going wrong. Besides I ought to learn some of those masterpieces so as to comprehend your application of them.
