Thirty-two. March 13, 1918. Dearest, - The messenger from headquarters was a fine boy today in bringing me a darlin' thick letter from you. How could you even intimate that it could be "too fat?" That would be impossible. It is numbered five. I haven't seen the first four, unless the only other letter I have received similarly addressed was one of them. It is already 10:45. That is the curse of having night working hours. Since there are many leads in this letter that I want to follow I may have to do it in installments. I'll begin tonight anyway.
