Another attack! I think that is the last now. Please don't scold me for letting the Seniors know. They were in my room when the wire came but they won't tell a soul and they don't know as much about your departure as I do -- which is of necessity, very little. All they know is that you have left Washin'ton and will be in New York Indefinitely. They are all marvelling because I do not give way to grief and loneliness, but dearest, I don't want you to think of me as such a weak minded individual. You are not leaving a sobby, sniffly person behind you. I want you to always remember that the "Girl you left Behind" is going about her duties happily and cheerily; because of her great love for her soldier hubby she is trying to be a real "soldier's wife."
