thinks because he is in New Mexico that the Japs and Germans and Mexicans have him, but we are a fighting family and are a tough, determined outfit, so his chances are the very best. I must write to him now, so I'll leave you. Here is a kiss -- and it means God Speed & good luck and all that goes with it. Do your duty all the time dearest -- I know you will. Remember -- it's up to you & Uncle Sam to "fix it," so do all of your share. I love you devotedly -- I worship you! And I'll be waiting for you, Conger. All yours -- Daphne.
