your own Mother's son. She and I will sit in snub-nosed superiority over Mama and Julietta, I feel certain of that. And it is all because, while we all love you to death, your Mother and I love you the most; and you really belong most to us. Today I re-read your letter sent me from Paris the other time. I am putting it in our Memory Book. "Oh, wot larks, pip, old chap!" I am leaving you now, Belovedest. I kiss you breathless, and always I am thinking of you and loving you. I have the honor to be, Sir, Your (dis-)obedient Wife!!!
