pleasure voyage under peaceful conditions and you could have been with me. You know a sea voyage really affords the leisure for a husband to get acquainted with his wife, provided she isn't too interested in the rest of the men aboard. Ah well, that is another idea that must be revived in that heaven of ours apres la guerre. How much we must put aside until then! I wonder how this long separation will affect our attitude toward each other. With me I know love will be sobered and deepened more and more as it has been to a certain extent already. The seriousness of my business over here will make the more serious my devotion
