It's a good adventure. It will give me another tell to tale when I come to days of retrospect. Picture, if you will, your husband a white-haired vet, seated before the fireplace with grandchildren in his lap, recounting the thrilling story of how he ran the submarine blockade way back in 1918. Although I relish the adventure as much as it deserves, I go boiling mad every time I think what the danger is to the women and children on board. It is truly damnable that non-combatants cannot cross the ocean without risking the chance that they may be sunk without a chance to escape. That is not civilized warfare. It's pure barbarism. I realize as never before how outrageous the submarine campaign is and I welcome the more my opportunity to
