plans. Have you forgotten all that, or been forced to give it up? Conger, I implore you! I am not afraid of anything, and there is nothing I cannot endure save being away from you for ever. You did not make a mistake by telling me how completely you are my own, dear. You make me wildly happy. And I love you, my husband, with the deepest, truest love that it is possible for a woman to give to her mate. You don't begin to know how hard I am trying not to be willful since I have your love. I've always been a firm believer in my own rights and having "my own way" about things. I promise you I'll not be so with you. I can think of only one time when I really tried to do something rude to you, and that was the "fourth" where I kept you waiting so long
