I am alone in our schoolroom writing to the light of a smoky lamp and the tune of Chopin's Funeral March that some soldier violinist is playing in the kitchen across the way. It is good music but not exactly cheerful. Howsomever, I'm getting so I can stand anything. Now I'm going to study for the big exam coming Friday. I love you. Conger.
