of the Potomac from our camp and the canal runs about a quarter of a mile from our camp on the other side and we can see any quantity of camps from the breast works and fort Corcoran on the higher hill beyond us. Some of the boys like the plan of stopping here but the most of them are for going on and get where we can do some of the fighting. Felix starts for home to day I believe but he did not come across the river with us I received the paper Uncle George sent and was glad to get it please send one as often as you can as we all like to read it as it keeps us posted on what is going on at home.
