Saving...
one or two news papers every morning and that is ten cents cash sometimes we want a book to pass away time and keep our minds engaged, then sometimes we get tired of eating one thing all the time and want a meal of sausages to eat and take it all around I dont find much money to spare But perhaps next pay day I shall have more as before I have paid out $25.00 for a revolver and $5.50 for a pair of Boots which I shall not have to do again Give my most sincere thanks to aunt Betsy for those berries she sent me and accept the same for those you sent me and I can assure you that they relished first-rate to the soldier boys in this tent cant say that any of the rest got many My sheet is nearly full and I will close with love to all Your Affet, Son W.
