pation. Any time of the day I can say to myself, "Aha, I shall have a letter from my dearie tonight. It's almost like hastening home to your caresses to come to my room with the delight of a letter in sure prospect. Mail seems to be coming pretty regularly now. I get several letters every four or five days. That helps. A jolly song that you made to fit the Vespers brethren and sistern! I wish I knew the tune. I've just heard a dandy that I intend to bring back for your entertainment. It is something that is a favorite with the British. It's too funny to hear the young British officers sing it with all the mock seriousness they can show as if their hearts were breaking over the sad tale it tells. If you'll promise not to tell anyone that oughtn't to know it I'll give
