Saving...
to his chief, "Sir, all my machine gun emplacements have been shot away but every gun has been working like hell." Isn't that the Spartan spirit? In spite of the destruction of his protection he was keeping up the fight with full power. Arthur is at headquarters of the organization. What a ripping time he must be having with prisoners coming in and the reports coming back hot from the scene of action. Only of course it wouldn't thrill him a bit. He is taking it all in in his careful, slow way, keeping it all straight. Anyway it ought to give him a more interesting story than a Doug Fairbanks movie. All this from your lover, Con. Kisses! Conger Reynolds 2nd Lt., AGD
