is such a wonderful girl, so thoughtful, and she writes such lovely letters to us. My only concern is I'm very much afraid she will not find me the "wonderful little mother" she thinks I am. I am perfectly "intoxicated" with her recitals of all the doings at Cottey. Every detail interests me. We are so anxious to have her visit us. Unquote.
   The dear. She was always so. Whether you find her as you have pictured her or not I have no fear you'll not love you. She is wonderful in her way though she would never believe it.
   Excuse please - the gob above is not a tear. I just dropped some parafin (is that the way to spell it; it looks wrong.) in starting a fresh candle.
   I'm beginning to get impatient for the arrival of some more recent letters from you. The two of March 13 that came ten days ago still hold the record. I hope mine are getting to you promptly. I hope that ere this you have heard of my arrival in more agreeable circumstances than I had at the army schools. Did I grouse very much during that period, honey? I'm afraid I did. Everything's "doing as well as could be expected" now. These spring days are hard on my romantic soul though.
