They make me want my sweetheart more'n ever. The little time I've had with you grows more precious with every day I have to do without you. Oh, for the return. But I couldn't be happy - completely happy - and you couldn't be if I were back there now. Happiness cannot come until the big job is finished. Meantime I'm learning and growing. You're going to get back a better husband than you sent away. Honest. How long it is since I've kissed you! Aren't you glad I went as far as Baltimore anyway? Every last bit of my love, Conger.
