that people do, who think they are wonderfully patriotic; It just disgusts me so. Well we are going on just the same old way nothing unusual has happened except perhaps the death of Jethro Lank last Saturday and his son-in-law on the Wednesday previous in Hannibal Missouri was brought to Redfield and laid away in the old family burying ground. Jets funeral was held Monday afternoon at the family home just west of Coon River bridge. Hardings took Uncle Wm and I out with them. He was an old pioneer as the family came here in '55 in the old time covered wagon
